Tranquillo’s debut album

HPS teacher Hannah Mitchell (pianist) and flautist Sarah Waycott release their debut album Tranquillo Christmas. The CD features 10 brand new Christmas arrangements in a variety of styles, from a jazzy ‘Hark the Herald’ to the haunting melody of ‘O Come O Come Emmanuel’, written especially for them by HPS teacher Rebecca Faith Mitchell. The CD also includes Rebecca’s original piece ‘Seren Y Nos’.

Having support from St. David’s Hall Cardiff, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Musicians Union, this is one album not to be missed!

On 20th November 2010 Hebron Piano School held two consecutive concerts at the Michael Sobel Sports Centre, Aberdare. The concerts were to raise awareness of the needs of the children in Uganda and the work of the charity ‘Just Care’. Around 25 children performed in each concert and the duo ‘Tranquillo’ performed a few tracks from their debut album.

There was also a short video presentation showing the children's home and musical developments that have been possible as a results of the money that has been raised by HPS and friends over the past few years. There were fantastic performances by all, and the concerts were a great success as our children used their talents to help the children in Uganda!
